It's been a particularly hectic week this one - hubby's been super-busy with work playing catch-up, added complication of the snow, working an extra day and my daughter singing in the Young Voices Concert with the school choir (brilliant by the way!) - madness is not the word! Also haven't had chance to get to the gym this week until today - so glad to get on that cross-trainer and treadmill and feel warm - and sweat! - what luxury...!?
Anyway - this was one of the tracks performed by the band at the Young Voices Concert - all the children from the many school choirs taking part were dancing and waving torches in their seats together with urban street-dancing on the stage...
James Brown - Give It Up or Turnit A Loose
Released initially way back in 1969 - from the album 'Ain't it Funky'...
Well - what can I say? If it's funk you're after you know you're in the right place - not many do it like the Godfather of Soul!
Right, so now I've listened to that funky creation, I Feel Good (even though it's pigging snowing again) so going to Get Up Offa My Thing and get dinner ready ...
